For the first time in weeks Team Yellow had a full squad as
they squared off against Team Tan in its fourth playoff game. Unfortunately, as talented as Team Tan is,
the full force of Team Yellow was too much for them to handle.
Once again our scoring dynamo, Owen, lead the attack with another four-goal performance. Netting his second goal in as many games was Davis ‘the hands’ Pipher. Eric made sure the opposition knew he was back with a number of tenacious rushes into the offensive zone. Getting back to defend and joining the rush Dylan, Cameron, Christian, Tommy played a gritty two-way game. Drew came close to finding the back of the net a couple of times and he rang a wrist shot off the post that could be heard from outer space. Not even a pair of dull skates could slow down the mighty Garrett on wing today. Back in our end it was the same old story of solid defence anchored by solid goaltending. Joey G and Bronson fearlessly defended our goal while Bronson decided to do his Bobby Orr impersonation when he went for an end-to-end skate. Back from the sunshine state our player of the game Jada played her usual diehard style and added a beauty goal for good measure. And of course the masked man in the blue ice, Reed, made his contribution by turning away shot after shot.
Congratulations Team Yellow! But remember we still have one more playoff game to go so be sure to come to the rink ready to play and have fun!
