Team Yellow’s playoff run continued with another display of
skill and determination. The team in
yellow and black is certainly moving like butterflies and stinging like bees lately
as Team White found out today.
From the opening faceoff Yellow took charge of the game. Lead by a five-goal performance by our scoring leader, Owen. Team Yellow would find the back of the net eight times in this one. Cameron’s versatile play at every forward position resulted in him netting two goals. Rounding out the goal scoring was Drew who scored a beauty after some fine fore-checking by his line mates. Joey G, Bronson and Tommy contributed to the offence with an assist each while Garrett added two helpers of his own. Meanwhile, Davis and Christian put in a gritty performance as they battled in our end chipping the puck out like clockwork. Back in our end Jada and Joey N switched off the opponent’s offence like a switch. Our team defence was anchored by our player of the game Reed “the wall” Ottaway who turned the White offence away time after time.
