In its third straight win of the playoffs Team Yellow
is living by its mantra: It’s a team game and a team effort.
Our scoring leader, Owen, once again lead the attack with a four-goal-performance. Meanwhile Davis proved Wayne Gretzky’s theory that “you’ll miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” as he kept banging away until he found the back of the net. If anyone is looking for evidence for Team Yellow’s grit and determination they need not look any further than the fact that two of our goals today were shorty’s. But it’s not goals alone that have been winning hockey games. It’s Yellow’s commitment to team defence that has been the difference. Our forwards Dylan, Garrett, Cameron, Tommy, and Christian have made immeasurable contributions to the team’s success with a fierce back-check that has both stunned and frustrated our opponents. Of course it has been our stars on the blue line and in the blue ice that also deserve much of the credit. With Bronson and Joey N missing Joey G played a passionate game with energy usually found in nuclear reactors. Skating with her usual grace Jada played a solid two-way game making a number of end to end rushes. Our player of the game, Drew, once again dropped back contributing to Reed’s shutout performance.
