Machine Keeps Rolling.
Team Yellow picked up right where it left off in
the Ray Hunt Classic Tournament by
notching up its first regular season victory over Team Tan. Lead by Owen
Hambly’s four goal performance Team Yellow’s offence racked up seven goals in
total.
Our player of the game, Eric Rogan, volunteered to take Joey Nalli’s spot on defence and not only did he play some great defence but he also managed to pot one goal and only the clock stopped him from adding another at the end of the game. Two of our wingers Christian Wiesner and Dyan Cordingley showed some offensive prowess when they netted their first goals of the season. Tommy Lomas and Garrett Rasmussen made their mark by making sure they were in position to get the puck out of our zone that lead to a number of scoring chances. One of our regular centres, Cameron Easton, made a smooth transition to wing and ended up with an assist for his efforts. Davis Pipher and Drew Roper played an excellent two-way game. The pair’s back checking foiled a number of rushes by Team Tan and Drew landed on the score sheet with an assist. Back in our end it was business as usual for our rock-solid defence. Jada Kosowan played her potent transition game of breaking up plays in our end and moving the puck forward for the attack. Meanwhile, the dynamic duo of Joey the Flash Gumulka and Bronson Poke Check McCallum helped to keep the goals against to just two. Finally, and certainly not least, our goalie Reed the Wall Ottaway performed his regular acrobatics between the pipes which was key to our success.

Coach Jan
