Friday Night Lights - The Green Machine Goes Prime Time
In a rare Friday night game, Orangeville Minor Tyke's Green Machine came out to shine in prime time last night at Alder. With Nolan Morrison returning between the pipes, Green was pumped up and ready to rock.
With tremendous action at both ends, Morrison's play had Red completely baffled, while the rest of the Green squad backchecked, hustled, passed, and scored their way to victory. Justin Mason netted the first two of his career after being called up from the minors earlier this season.
But in true Green Machine form, one game just wasn't enough for this hockey hungry crew, so they returned to dazzle the crowds once again this afternoon - against a rejuvenated Team White. This time Curran Brindley took on the netminding duties and what a thrilling demonstration of goaltending prowess it was. With several of Green's players being called away for unbelievable awesomeness, the remaining Green squad stepped it up, dug down, and played like the incredible Machine they're known for. They peppered the White goalie with shot after shot and battled to a tie.
Green goes again next Saturday December 13th at 12:30 to finish off the home and home series versus White. They are amping up to finish strong heading into the break and start the new year Greener and meaner and machine(r) than ever.
