Blue Takes Green, Green Takes Gold, Coaches Go Home to Take Naps
The Minor Tyke Green Machine showcased their menacing play in two games this afternoon at Alder Recreation Centre. The early tilt versus Blue can only be described as a barnburner. As Blue jumped out to an early lead, Green raced back, peppering Blue goaltender Easton McClintock with shot after shot. The young Blue phenom was on his game denying Green's best efforts as Tyson Rowntree played huge in goal for the Green squad.
The second game saw Green versus the great Gold team as Bishop Burman netted two on the first shift, and Jayden Hancock followed up with his first two goals of the season on the second shift. Green proved to be too much for Gold, led by Ryan Barth's exceptional play in goal, and another two goal effort from Nolan Morrison.
Green welcomed back the great play and leadership of Tyler Tipping after spending time at an elite training facility in the southern US.
Green takes their formidable play to prime time this Friday night at 6:30pm facing Red, and again on Saturday at noon versus White.
