Gutsy Green Game Over Resilient Red
With veteran goaltender James Brady returning between the pipes, once again Minor Tyke's Green Machine was able to overcome a worthy adversary in Team Red. Red threw everything they had at Brady but his disciplined play and incredible use of his face to stop the puck was just too much.
Red came out firing early in the first shift, but the Green Machine roared back with excellent play up the boards and passing throughout the game. With Jayden Hancock and Evan Miller returning to the line-up after some much needed R&R, Green elevated their play to new levels picking up for the missing Nolan "The Marauder" Morrison who was on the DL.
Tremendous play came from every player today but special mention goes to Curran Brindley, Jonathan Rideout, and Linden Harnett. These boys are sure to score soon if they keep chasing the puck and working hard like today.
The Green Machine has a double header next week starting at 12:30 versus the always tough Blue squad, followed by a 2pm game against the challenging Team Gold. Come early, it'll be standing room only!
