Orange and Black Tear the Roof Off Tony Rose A
Orange and Black squared off in front of a packed house at Tony Rose A this afternoon in what can only be described as a spectacular sporting event. This game had it all from both teams:
Hard work - ✔️
Great skating - ✔️
Outstanding goaltending - ✔️
Brilliant goals - ✔️
With veteran goalkeep Drost back between the pipes, and renewed defensive vigor from rookies Amaral and Keveryga, Orange played with the kind of intensity and puck pursuit that would intimidate any NHL team. Black knew they would have to come up with a special effort.
Orange's speedster centreman Mulder showed some incredible footwork, kicking the puck up and blazing in on Black for the go-ahead goal early in the third period. But Black quickly responded with 2 of their own and despite the relentless and phenomenal effort to come back, Orange just ran out of time as the buzzer went to end the game.
Orange plays again at high noon next Saturday for their last game of the first half of the season before the mid-season break. This is sure to be another sold out and exciting game so get your tickets early.
