Orange Keeps it Real Versus the Mighty Team Teal
Poise. Heart. Leaders. Smart. Hard working. These are the kinds of adjectives that are usually used only to describe Stanley Cup Champions - but it is becoming increasingly apparent with each passing week, that they also apply to the young up-and-comers on Team Orange.
Orange played with tremendous vigor - right out of the gate. Led by returning netminder Dylan Hambly, who perhaps made the save of the year mid-way through the second period, the boys in Orange once again showed their phenomenal speed and teamwork as they moved the puck hard out of their zone and chased it relentlessly. Centreman Barnett had his best 2-way game this season as he netted 3 goals and raced back defensively to make his presence known in his own end.
Orange's team defense was the deal-maker today as Suleiman, Pharoah, Thornington, and Sanderson played their hearts out but not to be overlooked was the outstanding play of veteran centreman Mulder and the incredible work from all the wingers - Amaral, Keveryga, McDonald, Clarke, and Wylie.
Orange faces off against Team Black next Saturday at high noon. This is sure to be a showdown for the ages.
