Mighty Orange Tested by Gritty Yellow
As the final games of this intense playoff round unfold, the tension mounted while fans rooting for both sides waited in eager anticipation for the puck to drop. But, Orange and Yellow had prepared hard in this culminating match from their tremendous season-long rivalry.
Veteran netminder Sotera returned between the pipes and once again put on a tremendous display of goaltending greatness. Orange battled valiantly through the first two periods, and speedster centreman Barnett showed Yellow backchecking like they've never seen before.
But today's game belonged to the Yellow squad as Orange struggled to get enough shots on net. The effort was tremendous and Orange continues to learn from hard work in practice and they are able to execute in the game. Some of today's corner battles were textbook, with Orange racing to the puck and winning battles to make a centering pass to the waiting shooter.
Orange returns to play again on March 26th at 11am to take on Team Green in the final game of this playoff round robin.
