Orange and Black Ignite the Playoffs in Round One
Team Orange continued their strong play with a phenomenal effort against the tough Team Black on Saturday at Tony Rose A rink.
With Hambly standing on his head between the pipes once again, Orange was revved and ready to rock and chase down the puck at every opportunity. Orange showed their blistering team speed early with great play up the boards springing Barnett, as well as both Mulder and McDonald. Their commitment to team defence was once again exemplified by the "iron wall" put up by the group of Sanderson, Pharoah, Drost, and Thornington while the rest of the forwards always came back hard to help.
Orange pushed, creating scoring chances by winning races and with textbook execution in passing. Wingers Amaral and Rideout had standout performances, never letting up on the puck, and Keveryga showed unbelievable new speed that is sure to excite fans in the coming weeks.
Orange is still in the hunt and will need another great game as they face Team Red this Saturday on Saturday at 11am, at Tony Rose A.
