The Comeback Kids Strike Again
Time and time again, Orangeville's own beloved Novice Team Orange simply gets the job done. This morning, on centre stage at Tony Rose A rink was certainly no exception, as they faced the formidable Team Green.
James Amaral made his goaltending debut for Orange - much to the chagrin of the Green squad. Amaral's fearless and acrobatic style not only stymied the opponent but also inspired his own side to play with the same confidence and heart as he displayed.
Green was unrelenting as they continued to press and test Orange's mettle, eventually jumping out to a 2:0 lead in the third. But that's when Orange re-grouped and showed their leadership and determination, netting two goals just twelve seconds apart to tie (Thornington from Hambly, and Barnett from Clarke). Green snuck another one past but in typical Orange fashion, the boys answered the call by moving the park hard and going to the net with a thrilling goal to tie the game by Hambly (from McDonald).
Orange hits the ice again next Saturday at noon in what's sure to be another game you won't want to miss - so don't!!
