REGISTRATION for the 2019-2020

If you are registering for the first time and you haven't completed the Respect in Sport - Parent Program, please follow the link to complete the program prior to registration.  RESPECT IN SPORT - PARENT PROGRAM  This course is mandatory!
Your child will NOT be placed on a team until the course is completed.

THIS YEAR, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED REGISTERED UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED FOR BASE REGISTRATION 
Submitting postdated cheques is considered receipt of payment as OMH would be in receipt of your payment cheques.

Methods of payment:  At the end of the checkout process choose preferred method of payment as outlined below.

1. Directly with Credit Card  at the time of registration.  

2.  e-Transfer (Interac Email Money Transfer)

  To use this option, the following instructions must be used:
1. Select "OTHER" for payment option and finish the check out.
2. Note amount required to pay via "OTHER"
3. Log into your online banking software or app.  e-Transfer recipient must be [email protected]  

Please note the MESSAGE SECTION  
Message section of the e-transfer MUST include for proper processing:       

a.  Player's First and Last Name
b.  Player's date of birth.
c.  Division playing in (e.g. Atom)
d.  Invoice number from Hockey Canada Registry at checkout above.

No security question should be needed.  BUT if it requests one please use    hockey  
Make sure you make note of your transaction reference number.

3. If you are paying by cheque MAIL FULL PAYMENT (one cheque or 4 post dated June 1st 2019, 
July 1st 2019, August 1st  2019 & September 1st 2019

RESIDENCY RESTRICTIONS 

Our Rep, MD, Select and Roster Select programs are Residency Restricted. You can only tryout if you reside within the Orangeville Minor Hockey boundaries or within a Right of Choice area as governed by the Ontario Minor Hockey Association. To find out more about our centres boundaries and Right of Choice areas within our area please call the office.

IMPORTANT... PLEASE READ!!

  • Make sure that the Player Name and  INVOICE # on ALL cheques.
  • Postdated cheques to be made out 4 post dated  June 1st 2019, 
    July 1st 2019, August 1st  2019 & September 1st 2019
  • Please make all cheques payable to Orangeville Minor Hockey
  • The registration will not be active until payment has been received - Your child's information will NOT be passed onto the director for placement on a team until FULL PAYMENT RECEIVED.
  • 10% discount with 3 or more children registered in the same family
  • $ 30.00 service charge on NSF cheques your child will not be placed on a team until NSF is CLEARED!!!
  • Refunds Before September 1 - 100% less $50 administration fee.
    September 1 to October 15 - 75%, less $50 administration fee.
    October 15 to November 15 - 50%, less $50 administration fee.
    After November 15 - NO REFUND. 

NOTE: Players registering with Orangeville Minor Hockey for the FIRST TIME will need to complete the #1 Option  If you are a returning Player/Goalie choose #2 Option

KidSport Ontario provides grant assistance to Ontario children and youth 18 years old or younger who are facing financial barriers preventing them from joining organized sport.  Kidsport partners with Hyundai hockey helpers to provide grants to offset costs of participating in hockey to those in need.

Jumpstart helps kids between the ages of 4 to 18 by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation for sports and physical activity programming.

The Children’s Foundation Free to Play programs provides financial assistance for children in need so that they can participate in sports, cultural and recreational activities. Funds are available for the activity of the child’s choice as long as the activity will benefit and enrich their own personal development. 

OMHA Financial Subsidy Program

Each year, minor hockey associations across the OMHA support numerous charities and charitable foundations. Thousands of dollars are generated and many causes and programs benefit from this support.
The Financial Subsidy Program provides financial subsidy to minor hockey players who are currently experiencing difficulty raising enough funds to participate in the game.

  • CSA approved helmet with face protector

  • Athletic support with cup / Jill strap

  • Mouth guard (must be colored, not clear)

  • Hockey pants

  • Neck guard

  • Shin guards

  • Shoulder Pads

  • Skates

  • Elbow Pads

  • Hockey Stick

  • Hockey Gloves

  • Equipment bag

EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED

  • Team sweaters and socks for House League

  • Goal equipment if required (leg pads - blocker & catcher - upper body armour) is provided up to age 12


SPECIAL REQUESTS

Unfortunately with a registration base of 1200 plus participants it has become impossible to accommodate special requests. If there is a special need you do require it must be submitted in writing to the Hockey Office prior to August 1, 2018 and the league convener will try to accommodate your situation. If you cannot be accommodated you can ask for a refund. 

HOUSE LEAGUE GAMES AND PRACTICES

Initiation is a hockey school environment with emphasis on skills development on Saturday mornings. Minor Novice to Bantam will play their games on Saturdays, rotating between 7:30 am to 7:30 pm with a practice every Sunday also rotating between 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. Midget games are on Tuesday evenings between 7:30 to 11:00 pm. 

HOUSE LEAGUE TEAM BALANCING

Having balanced teams is important; it ensures that the games stay competitive. Players cannot refuse to move to a new team to facilitate balancing. It is a condition of your registration that you agree to move to another team if directed by the Association. Failure to move will cause a forfeiture of fees paid and the player will be ineligible to play for the balance of the season. 

HOUSE LEAGUE COACHES

Anyone wishing to coach a House League team may pick up an application in the Hockey Office. Each team now requires a certified coach and trainer. Clinics to obtain this certification are sponsored by the Ontario Minor Hockey Association. For information on where to attend these clinics go to  www.omha.net. Another requirement is a criminal reference check which can be obtained through the local police department.
