Orange and Gold in a Halloween Classic
The Orangeville Novice division was in for a Halloween party earlier today as a bunch of little monsters from Orange and Gold took to the ice. With ample amounts sugar coursing through their veins, each side was poised to trick the other and treat themselves to the win.
Orange's veteran goaltender, Jonathan Rideout terrified Gold with his ghoulish moves in net. As Orange pressed the puck forward like a pack of zombies, Gold was forced to retreat to their own end and the puck stayed in their zone for most of the game. But Gold managed to sneak the puck in with ghost-like play, and in the end got the better of the Halloween-coloured Orange squad this afternoon.
Winger James Amaral and centre Ty Mulder both nearly got one by the Gold keeper, while big defenceman Nathan Thornington had a standout performance today, competing hard for the puck every time it was near him.
Orange hits the ice again next week against Team Black at 11:30am on the Alder Green rink. Get your tickets now as games for this team always sell out early.
Go Orange Go!!!
