A packed house at Tony Rose A rink was treated to phenomenal hockey this morning as the Atom division pitted Team Red against Team Black. The stage was set for these two talented teams to put it on the line.

Wagstaff once again provided the cornerstone goaltending he's built his reputation on, forcing Red to go hard to the net and scramble for rebounds. At the other end, the line of Cundari, Pharoah, and Brett raised their games to new heights with great pressure, springing Brett to score two. Black's other forward line of Blakeley, Rogan, and Clement showed old-school heart in keeping Red on their heels the whole game. All the while the defensive core of Frew, Fowler, Dunford, and Rideout played textbook D, ripping the puck up the boards all game.
It was clear that every player on Black dug deep and found a new level of play in themselves, which is the sign of greatness. Their continued focus on teamwork and effort will continue to pay off in the kind of great hockey we saw on the ice today.
Black brings the thunder again next Sunday 9am, at Tony Rose A.
