Black and Yellow Take It To The Wire
The tension was palpable this morning as Black and Yellow took their A games to Tony Rose A rink in an epic battle for the ages. Both teams prepped hard in the hopes that their work would pay dividends on the scoreboard.
Black shot out to an early lead in the first with a tremendous second effort from Josh Rideout to net one in his first game of the season. With that, Black continued to press anchored by the steady play in goal from veteran Kenton Wagstaff and the outstanding play of blueliners Marks, Fowler, and Frew.
As Yellow pressed back in the second and third periods, the line of Pharoah, Rogan, and Cundari netted two more to stretch the lead. But Yellow never quit, getting on the game sheet late in the third before Dunford ripped one (assisted by Clement and Brett) by the Yellow stopper to seal the W.
An all-round team effort and exciting play from Black as they again raised their caliber of play, while showing great respect for Yellow throughout the game. Black hits the ice for their next game on Sunday October 25th at 9am, at Tony Rose A when they take on Team Tan.
