Board Meeting Rules and Regulations

 

 

 

 

The board shall meet at a minimum of once per month excluding July and December. 

 

The President or his/her designate shall chair the meeting.

 

Executive / Board members in attendance and/or on a live electronic device shall cast a vote when required and are counted in attendance as per the regulations.

 

The meeting must have a quorum to make and pass a motion.

 

The meeting will have an agenda prepared by the secretary.

 

Any new business will be added to the agenda by calling or emailing the secretary in advance.

 

The bookkeeper will provide a financial report including what the bank balances are at the time of the meeting. This report shall be given to the Secretary or the Administrator to provide to the Board.

 

All members are encouraged to attend the monthly board meetings.

 

Members shall not vote, nor give their opinions on the daily operations of OMH.

 

Members can be added to the agenda by submitting their item for discussion to the secretary at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting. This will be added and discussed under the new business section.

 

Members must leave the meeting during an "in camera session".

 

Members and board members may be asked to leave the meeting if there is a conflict of interest or if a discussion is required and the member and Board member have a family member on the team / division of the discussion.

 

All votes are done by raising your hand and the majority rules.

 

All tied votes are decided by the Chair of the board meeting.
