Referee and Timekeeper Positions!
The Orangeville Referees Association is looking for candidates who are interested in becoming on ice officials and timekeepers for minor hockey.
As a player, coach or someone who was previously involved in minor hockey, this is a great way to stay involved and give back to the game in our community.
Referee/ on ice official
Requirements:
- Must pass an Ontario Minor Hockey Officials course and exam
- Must be able to skate forwards and backwards
- Must be at least 14 year old (December 31, 2024)
- Must Provide a VSC if over the age of 18
- Must have an email address
- Must have a bank account
Time Keeper:
Requirements
- Must attend a training course provided by the Orangeville Referees Association
- Must be at least 13 years old (December 31, 2024)
- Must have an email address
- Must have a bank account
There would be a limited number of new hires for both on ice officials and timekeepers. Before attending a referee clinic ensure you have received a positive response from the ORA. Applicants are required to submit their notice of interest to Mike Fry (ORA Referee in Chief) on or before August 16th 2024. If you meet or exceed the above requirements and are interested, please send a resume and cover for consideration. Please include your first and last name, age and level of hockey played (if applicable) along with what you can offer and reasons why you would like to become an official/ timekeeper.
