President's Report
Good evening Flyers families,
I want to thank all the parents, coaches and players for understanding the Alder arena situation that has happened this week. With the heat wave that we faced this week and the building of two ice pads (Alder Red and Green) at the same time, the system couldn't handle the work load. With the ice demands of our community, the Town of Orangeville tried to accommodate the request to build these ice pads and now the town staff are building Alder Red which should be good to skate on by September 15 and Alder Green shortly after.
Both Orangeville Minor Hockey and Tigers Hockey have worked together with Town staff to make sure the players and teams get on the ice as much as possible over the next two weeks until all four pads are up and running.
The only thing that was lost was the OHL game that was to be played in Alder Red on Sunday.
