President's Report
Hello Flyers families,
The OHL game was played in the Alder Red Arena, it was a sold out event. I would like to thank our Executive Board members who volunteered their time at the hockey game led by Michelle Bridges who made this game happen this year in Orangeville. I would also like to thank the parents and players that volunteered to make this event happen. A big thank you goes out to the town staff for doing a great job!! It was great to see the arena full with fans of all ages to enjoy a great game.
Our Rep teams are almost done with this years tryouts. Good luck to all of our Rep teams this season!!
Our House League starts with grading on October 1 & 2. Each division calendar with groupings will be updated in the next couple of days. Our HL practices and games will start on October 15 & 16. The coach will reach out to provide each player with the team name and team colour that each player will be on this season. If you have not been contacted by October 12, please reach out to your child's Director.
We have a full Executive Board this season and we are doing our best to provide all the players that are playing in Orangeville Minor Hockey Association this season a fun and enjoyable experience with lots of ice time and development for the players and the goalies. More information will be posted under the development tab on our website.
I have been your President for the last 15 years. I have enjoyed this role and with the assistance of the other board members we have brought OMH to the forefront and made our Association stand out. I am sure some of you have seen my name around town over the past couple of weeks, I am running for Town Council. With the town growing and the town being such a sporting community, I think with my experience as a leader of minor hockey, I would bring a new voice to council and represent you!! The vote will be on October 24th.
