Atom AE Flyers bring home GOLD for Canada at the Nations Cup!
Submitted By Joanne Wilson on Monday, December 3, 2018
The Atom AE team was proud to represent their country and honour Canada’s favorite sport at the Nations Cup tournament in Michigan this past weekend.

The Nation's Cup tournament is a battle of the borders, pitting teams from Canada against teams from USA.

This Flyers team wore their custom Canada jerseys proudly, demonstrating some outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination. Going 2 and 2 in the round robin, they were seeded against a very strong Columbus team for the finals - falling just short with a 2-0 loss. The boys were great ambassadors of the sport! They battled hard, left it all out on the ice and cheered hard for their fellow Canadian teams. We all watched on as the remaining Canadian teams won their final games, making the final tally: Canada - 8, USA – 2

Our weekend was topped with some fast moving forwards, some strong defending defense and some wild saves by our goal tenders.  It ended with the boys joining their fellow Canadian teams on the ice to receive the GOLD medal!!  It was an experience all will remember forever.
