Membership Update
A message from our President

Good afternoon members,

I said I would update our membership with any new information that I received. Below is a statement from the Ontario Hockey Federation stating that our spring rep tryouts will be cancelled and moved to late summer / fall. Once those dates are confirmed with the OMHA, I will reach out to the Town of Orangeville and secure ice time and book the dates.

The Ontario Hockey Federation and its seven member partners, including the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), have issued a statement regarding spring tryouts for the 2020-21 season.

The health and safety of all participants in the sport is of the utmost importance to the OHF and its member partners. As such, tryouts for the 2020-21 season will not be conducted this Spring. Instead the OHF will provide guidance on when the introduction of the 2020-21 season will begin, subject to the Hockey Canada Board of Directors’ future decision when to reinstate all Hockey Canada-sanctioned activities.  Such introduction will take into consideration ice availability, capacity and other logistics involved in organizing hockey programs.

The OHF and its member partners will be in direct contact with all members to establish when sanctioned activities can resume.

Our hockey has ended for this season, the Town of Orangeville recreation centre's are closed and the ice is being taken out. Once the Board can meet and discuss what will happen for the House League players for their "Day of Champions" we will let everyone know.

Based on Hockey Canada rules, teams cannot have games, practices, enter into tournaments or have dry land events. I ask that no team have a year end party at this time, we want to keep our players and community as safe as possible.

Our Hockey office is closed. If you need an answer to something or want to drop off any year end equipment please contact the appropriate person listed below.
Goalie equipment can be dropped off once hockey resumes and the facilities are open.
