The week opened on Monday night in Caledon. The Hawks were leading the series 2 games to nothing. It was midway through the game and we were down 2-0. Brent grabbed the puck in the slot after a scramble and shot the puck through the goalie's 5-hole to shrink the lead to one. A few minutes later, Aiden took an innocent looking shot from the point and it appeared that the Caledon goalie knocked it in the net and the game was tied. This was a smart play by Aiden to get the puck to the front of the net in the first place . There were a few minutes of spirited  play back and forth which seemed to get the boys moving. Late in the third, Owen T carried the puck into the offensive zone. He held onto it and waited for Brent to make it to the slot. Owen then made a great pass to "MR. CLUTCH" aka Brent who buried it with 29 seconds left to give us the win. The series was now 2 games to 1 heading into Orangeville. Brent was given game MVP with an honorable mention to Jayden who had another strong game.

We started off game 4 slowly as Caledon scored 30 seconds into the game. The boys continued to work hard and which paid off when Brent scored to tie it up. After a 2 week layoff from game play, Ted was back in net. He made some nice saves to keep the game close. With about 12 minutes left in the third period, Caledon scored to make it 2-1. Despite a strong push from the boys, Caledon was able to keep the lead and take the game and series win. Game MVP's went to Graydon and Connor.

The season is now over. We have a practice on Wednesday night where pizza and cake will be served.

I wanted to thank all the boys for their hard work this year. We saw steady improvement and the evidence was in our game scores from the beginning of the year to the end, our performance at the Vaughan tournament and by positive comments from other coaches who mentioned how impressed they were after playing us initially. The boys deserve huge credit and behalf of the coaching staff,  I would like to wish them luck at this year's tryouts.

I would like to thank our sponsors HESI, KRM Mechanical Inc. and AfA Forest Products inc.

I also wanted to thank Coach Warren and Craig for all their hard work and feedback. Thank you to Simon for coming out when needed as well.

Special thank you to coach Mark who really stepped up this year to help out at practice. You were a great influence on the boys.
