The boys played their second playoff game this past Tuesday in Orangeville. Aurora opened the scoring late in the first with a power play goal and then scored midway through the second to make it 2-0. The boys worked hard in this game and created several scoring chances. We were finally rewarded with about 5 minutes left in the third period when Brent scored to make it 2-1. The kids continued to press the Tigers but with about 3 minutes left they scored their insurance goal to take the win 3-1.
Series status Aurora 3 points and Orangeville 1 point.
We then headed to Oshawa for the 43rd Heritage Invitational Hockey Tournament.
We played the Ajax Knights in the opening game and won 6-0. Brent, Graydon, Braedon, Johhny and Owen T scored with assists from Graydon, Ethan and Connor. Game MVP went to Jayden for the shutout.
Our Second game was against the Waterloo Wolves, we played well in the first and third period but struggled for about 5 minutes in the second giving up 4 quick goals after running into some penalty trouble. The Wolves won 5-1 and Braedon was given game MVP.
We played Oakville in the B semi final and lost 3-1. The boys out played Oakville for a good portion of this game in my opinion. We had several scoring chances, 2 posts and 2 crossbars. We moved the puck well for the most part but unfortunately we were not able to find the back of the net and were eliminated. Oakville ended up winning the B final against Caledon 3-1. Evan was given game MVP for the Oakville game.

Playoffs game 3 vs Aurora Monday at 7:50 pm (4-3 loss, the series is now 5 points Aurora & 1 point Orangeville)
Practice at 8:30 pm in Alder Green
Playoffs game 4 in Orangeville Alder Red 8:00 pm
Playoffs game 5 if necessary in Aurora at 5:15 PM ( Aurora Community Centre - Lincoln Rink )
