Another solid effort!
Dear Players and Parents.
Great weekend boys, well done! That's a lot of hockey over the 3 days and lots of positives to expand on.
This afternoons pre-game talk was an open floor going from player to player to ask their opinion on what we needed to do ensure a successful game. Each boy was asked what we needed to focus on ....by the time we got around the room the boys covered every point we've been discussing since the home opener.
The only thing we the coaches had to add was the importance of short shifts .... increasing our overall ice time at peak performance level. Well done boys you did a great job responding to that challenge.
I would like to thank our AP's tonight for a solid game - you both played hard and contributed.
Our post-game talk was about the positives over the weekend, especially how the boys responded to needed adjustments game by game ... period by period ... situation by situation.
This week we have a practice on Tuesday .... new plays to come.
We have a big game this Friday vs Guelph. Guelph will be a strong team and our performance will be a good indication of where we are from a competitive standpoint.
