Well
fans the unbeaten streak is over but it’s certainly not the end of Team
Yellow’s great play or determination.
Today Yellow was in tough against Team Green but they battled hard after falling behind early. In the second period Yellow came roaring back with a pair of goals by Owen and Eric who extended their goal scoring streaks. Our defence of Joey N, Jada, Bronson and Joey G put on a gritty performance as they fought hard to defend the goal. Our goalie, and player of the game, Reed certainly earned his pita today with another fine display of acrobatics between the pipes. Up front we were missing two great players; Christian and Dylan. As a result, our forwards were called upon to rotate through all the positions and Tommy, Davis, Cameron and Garrett accepted the challenge with grace and courage playing an excellent two-way game. Another bright spot today was Drew’s second goal in as many games in the third period proving Yellow never gives up. With a two-week break from hockey the Team will have some time to reflect before they take on Green again in a much-anticipated rematch in February. Great effort today Team!
