Black and Green Showdown at Tony Rose
Following yesterday's picture day where they were singled out for their outstanding achievement in handsomeness, Team Black put on a gritty performance this morning while channeling their inner Hanson Brothers against Team Green.
With goaltending phenom Wagstaff back in net following a layoff at an elite training facility, the boys in Black were fired up and ready. After a hard-fought first period with great battling and exciting end to end play, Dunford netted one at 4:19 of the second off a great feed from Rideout off the boards to jump into the lead. Kalnay had a breakout performance, locking down his own end, while Young and Marks showcased tremendous speed on breakaways.
But Green surged back, putting Black back on their heels before they re-grouped and worked the puck up the boards to spring Taylor free to tie things up half way through the third. From there, both teams knuckled down and the action had all the fans on the edge of their seats before the final buzzer went to end this one in a tie.
Look for Team Black again next week as they return to take on Team Red at 9am on Sunday morning.
