Atom Team White Earns Trip to the Finals
With a trip to the Championship game on the line Team White once again rose to the occasion and showed their true character. A few absences made for a short bench but White got the job done in typical fashion with relentless speed, forechecking, backchecking, and strong play on the puck.
Thibault was once again solid as a rock in goal, while the rest of the squad drew two early penalties resulting in goals. Pharoah scored his first of the season, and the combination of Rideout to MacDonald produced one of the nicest goals you will ever see in hockey at any level. Top scorers Sillars and Carvalho continue to lead by example as their tremendous hustle sparks the rest of the team. Cars scored one of the more interesting empty-netters to help seal the victory late in the third. Frew, McMillan, DiDonato, and Amaral have all stepped up their games when this team has needed them most - and yesterday was no exception.
White faces Red in the Championship game on Saturday March 28th at 1:50pm on Alder Red. The season series between these two squads has been phenomenal and this game is sure to be equally as exciting and fun.
