Playoff Round One - White versus Green
Playoff fever hit the Atom division over the Family Day holiday weekend with White in a showdown versus Team Green. Wyatt Kosowan was called up from the minors and filled in admirably for Thibault in goal as Team White took their phenomenal speed to the ice and never looked back.
White struggled early in getting the puck out of their own end as Green's forechecking proved formidable. But White's determined play propelled them strongly into the 2nd period where they may have played their best hockey of the season. As White settled into their game plan, their team speed proved to be too much to handle on this day sealing the victory with great execution and playing strong on the puck.
White continues their playoff run next weekend facing Yellow. This is a fun team to watch, but don't let their relentless smiling fool you - this is one determined squad.
