White Shows Grit in Comeback Versus Yellow
Following the mid-season hiatus, the Atom Division returned to the ice again today for some spectacular hockey. The final game of the morning paired White against Yellow. With top goaltender Thibault in net, the boys in White came out flying.
As Yellow jumped out to an early lead, White adjusted with tight backchecking, great movement, and strong play on the puck. Long time off-ice pals Pharoah and Frew both showed they can take a quality bodycheck for the team - in this case unfortunately from each other.
In the third period "The Wade-erator" McMillan took over centreman duties and proved he's got skills at both ends of the ice. Pharoah also moved up and both defenceman came close to getting their first goals of the year. White had tremendous play from the entire roster - with Clarke nearly potting one and Di Donato too. Carvalho and Sillars continue to show great leadership in their outstanding work-ethic on the ice, and Cars showcased his great versatility playing every position but goal today.
White goes against Green next Sunday. With the playoff run only weeks away, let's see if they're ready to come out flying once again!
