Atom Team White Shows Heart vs Black
With an extremely tight season series in the Atom Division, Black and White faced off this morning again at Alder Green Rink. With both teams' top scorers on the DL, it was up to the rest of the rosters to dig deep.
For Team White, that meant phenomenal goaltending from veteran Noah Thibault who took at least 3 pucks off the mask and continued to stand tall for his team. White's team defense was likewise exceptional with Pharoah, Frew, Thibault, and McMillan getting in the passing lanes and moving the puck strongly out of their own end.
Rideout seamlessly stepped into the centre role and the rest of the White squad showed great determination - improving their team speed in each period and working the puck to each other with great passing. But today, workhorse centreman Marcus Carvalho couldn't be contained by Black as he continually shrugged off checkers and netted a hat trick to seal the win.
White goes again at 9am tomorrow morning at Alder Red Rink versus the Orange Team.
