Playoffs Round 1 - Green versus White
Playoff fever hit the Minor Tyke division over this Family Day holiday weekend. The Green Machine faced a worthy adversary in Team White with both sides fired up for the long run to the Cup.
Green's commitment was evident from the moment they stepped into the dressing room on Saturday afternoon - showing the beginnings of their playoff beards and with steely-eyed-razor-sharp focus the boys got right down to business on the ice. With rookie goaltending sensation Linden Harnett taking over between the pipes, The Machine never looked back.
Green's signature hustle, backchecking, and passing fueled them to victory in this first test of the playoffs. They'll be back again to test their mettle against Royal again in 2 weeks, following a regular season match-up against White on Feb 21st.
