Green Machine Faces Bold Gold
With rookie goaltender Hansen Rawn at the helm, Orangeville's favourite Green Machine took to the ice against a determined Team Gold this afternoon at the Alder Red rink.
The Gold squad came out firing early, netting the first goal of the game to take the early lead. But in typical Green fashion, the Machine roared back with tremendous passing, hustle, and defense. Upstart winger Linden Harnett nearly netted his first goal on a great play in front of the Gold goal. Pharoah and Brindley both had great chances too.
The longest goal of the game went to Rowntree on a shot from his own blue line proving that you never know what can happen when you get a shot on the opposing net. The boys in Green were fun to watch - once again bringing smiles to the packed house of adoring fans.
The Green Machine are off for the All-Star break next weekend before they return to battle on February 8th to face the Gold squad again.
