Green Shows True Colours Versus Blue... and it's Green!!
In a comeback thriller, the Green Machine turned up the heat and brought the 3rd period pandemonium to Alder Red rink this afternoon. Goalkeep Tyson Rowntree returned between the pipes with a Denis Lemieux-esque performance giving the boys in Green just the edge they needed.
The Machine was well oiled today with stalwart defensive play, phenomenal backchecking, and offensive play that made the Blue goalie look like a target in a shooting gallery. Young Easton McClintock played tremendously for Blue but Green had no quit, and managed to wear him down with three goals in the 3rd period to seal the victory. Goal scoring came from Rawn (2) and Miller (1).
Green takes to the ice again next Saturday with back-to-back games - first versus Red, and then White.
